- 1 1/3 cups(335 ml) red wine vinegar
- 1 ½ cups (375 ml) red wine
- ¾ cups (185 ml) sugar
- 3 cloves
- 4 sticks cinnamon
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) brandy
- 2 lbs (1 kg) black grapes, seeded
how to make Brandied Grape Preserve
- Bring vinegar, wine, sugar, cloves and cinnamon sticks to a boil. simmer for 15 minutes or until syrupy.
- Remove cinnamon sticks. Add brandy. Pour over grapes. Put into warm, sterilized jars. Seal.
- NOTE: Serve with terrines, game birds and venison.
