abalone soup recipes with pork
abalone soup Ingredients
- 125 4 lean pork
- 1 tsp light soya sauce
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 2 thin slices fresh ginger
- 6 cups boiling water
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 or 3 dried Chinese mushrooms
- 2 or 3 stalks celery
- 375 g abalone
- 1 spring onion,chopped for garnish
how to cook abalone soup
- Slice lean pork into very thin strips and mix with soya sauce,sugar,cornstarch,½ tsp oil and pepper.
- heat remainder of the oil in a pan,fry ginger with salt for a minute and then add 6 cups boiling water
- soak mushrooms for about 15 minutes in warm water then slice mushrooms and celery
- when water reboil,add mushrooms,celery and seasoned pork. cover pot with lid and simmer about 8 minutes
- cut abalone into thin strips or thin cubes. just 5 minutes before serving,add abalone.(don't overcook abalone as it will become tough)
- add spring onion and serve the abalone soup recipes with pork immediately
serves 5-6
