Assorted Vegetables in Oyster Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon salt 2
  • 200 g ( 2 ½  cups ) broccoli, cut into florets
  • 200 g ( 2 ½ cups ) Cali flower , cut into florets
  • 60 g ( 2 oz ) carrot, sliced
  • 1 sliced ginger,  shredded
  • 1 shallot, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 2-3 tablespoon water for steaming
  • 80 ml ( 1/3 cups ) stock
  • 1 tablespoon light sauce
  • 1 teaspoon light soy
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

how to cook

  1. add the salt to a small basin of water and soak the broccoli  and Cali flower, carrot, ginger, shallot garlic and water and drain
  2. Arrange the broccoli, cauliflower, Carrot, ginger , shallot garlic and water in a lid, and let the vegetables steam over moderate heat for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove the lid, pour in the seasoning ( the stock  through to the sesame oil ) and toss for a further  2 minutes, serve hot.
